About APAes

The Academy of Professional Aestheticians (APAes) represents practising aestheticians in the health and wellness industry, including practitioners from all aesthetic therapy functions and businesses. Through our unified voice, the academy has established strong links with business, academia and government to become the voice of the aesthetic therapy profession.

The APAes's leadership role in advancing the aesthetic therapy profession has resulted in the emergence of Certified Practising Aesthetician (CPAes) as a globally accepted benchmark, the establishment of a Code of Professional Aestheticians Conduct, and the move toward defined practicing standards for aestheticians  regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, or marital status.

APAes also seeks to provide high quality, relevant professional development programs through strategic partnership with various higher tertiary institutions, professional bodies, industries and companies in the world that are intellectually stimulating and appropriate to aestheticians and companies or consortia of companies.

For those aestheticians (with CPAes Certification and/or CPAes Qualification and valid membership of APAes) who wish to gain direct admission to the university's business degree programs (Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Management, Bachelor of Commerce, etc), APAes in partnership with Asiainstitut of Management, AM School of Business Studies (AMSBS) provides the University Preparation Programs (UPP) for these selected group of aestheticians that on successfully completion of  the UPP and with good Grade Point Average (GPA), they can gain direct admission to the University of Canberra's degree programs and or other degree programs in the Commonwealth universities. Selected aestheticians will be given the Emmanuel Scholarship for the University Preparation Program.
